If only for a few days, and with no notification to him. You know why? So his brother, Maniack, (who unfortunately shares the same IP) can submit his nearly done game (which is extremely cool, let me tell you). Yeah, so anyway whoever's in charge of the bannage, unban that IP for a bit or more please.
P.S. I sincerely hope that nobody asks why Maniack didn't post this himself. Because if they do, I'll have to wonder how they learned to read in the first place, with that small of a brain.

Well, actually, Maniack's been working on a RPG Maker 2003 game for quite some time now....since Dracon got banned...he said he lost some inspiration to work on the Great Wars.
His RPGM2k3 game is set in the same world/universe as the Great Wars and takes place some time before Great Wars. Tiko | |

My good people of BYOND (:P Wee, I'm official!), I would first like to clear up a few things.. I know some people are waiting patiently for my game in progress. Let me just say one thing. The Great Wars is no where near finished. The new version is nearly complete, and that was what Mario Wario should have said X.X.. As in Tiko's remark, yes I have started an RPGMaker 2k3 created RPG game that ties in closely with the storyline behind The Great Wars. And I will continue to work on this ALONGSIDE the BYOND game. Dracon, Myself, and friends on my behalf have all tried to contact Dantom over the past few months to talk about possible unbanishment. Dracon has told me he no longer has any interest in BYOND, then again, its Dracon. I know Tom is a busy busy man, but I would really like a response. I know my IP is the only banned source, and not my key, so if I must, I will transfer my files to another location to be updated.. However I would rather not, especially if it were to get out, I would not want to be blamed for "another Zeta".. I started working on The Great Wars because I looked around BYOND, and I saw that money and popularity were overshadowing the key things that MADE BYOND.. community, revolutionary thinking, and creativity! I figured, if I could make a game that got people into being creative, made them think, made them question things.. then I could help change BYOND. I have nothing against the current BYOND, I just believe things need to be changed around every once and a while.. So I implore you.. forgive me for being so late on the update, and keep checking.. I've not given up hope yet.. ^^ And neither should BYOND.. | |
Maybe Maniack should look into using a family members computer, or possibly even an internet cafe.
I'm not sure what the security issue is, since it will be compiled, but if he's that worried he can upload from a CD to the HUB, then destroy the CD. That way the files never even touch the computer. | |
Dracon was banned for very valid reasons and Maniak is just suffering because of his problem. I doubt he will be unbanned just so Maniak can put up his game, although I personally think that by now it would be fine to unban the computer from the Hub, but keep it permanently banned from the forums. And if Dracon causes any more trouble it could be a perma ban from BYOND again.

To release a new version of the game, only a package .zip is necessary--not source code. Therefore there's no risk of another Zeta. And Maniack's learning may be suspect if he "knows" that his IP address is the only thing keeping him banned. In the same way people once "knew" the sun revolved around the earth. Dantom implemented their ban system intelligently. Why was Dracon banned??? I don't think I had the internet when he was banned. I know before I lost the internet he wasn't banned. He was still posting messages about DBZeta being Raekwon's and not his.
