Ok, I was doing some searches, I wanted to see what would come up if I searched BYOND on Google. I thought maybe some old Guru had made a demor library that isnt on the site, well, I found a website with a picture of one of the maps on the introduction to BYOND, they had their name on the picture, sort of like they were claiming it. Now I don't know the full store, mainly because the website is in another language. But I thought I would report it just in case. Anyways you might want to look into it Dantom or anyone else in the biz, just go to Google.ca and search BYOND.

The Conjuror.
Well I looked into it a little bit more and I am now thinking I am way off, they offer a download of BYOND, so I just think its a download centre, never the less you still might wana check it out.

You know, when you're talking about a website, its always nice to post a link to it...

Its long, I gave instructions, how hard is it, search byond on google.ca and look for the first image that looks like something that belongs to BYOND. Search images when you do the search.

Sounds like a complex set of instructions to me. And the difficulty at your end of posting a link is...?

Ok, fine, heres the link...

And as I said, I don't think its anything to worry about, but I don't understand the language the pageis in so really I have no clue. Anyways, go to that. If it doesnt work don't yell at me (Lummox JR) because I'm not the greatest at link posting, dont call me stupid or nuthin.

<Edit> I see now that it says UBI dowenload or something, its probably just a sight offering free downloads of stuff. And as I said before, check it out if you want to.

for the future:
babblefish.com translates pages
All I think that is is a 'share-ware' website. I don't think it's legal, though. But then again, there is a link to www.byond.com on it.

Or for those without whatever plugin was required to view that page....

It doesn't even have their name....it's their logo. That's just so people don't use that screen shot. IGN does things like that too.

Options of download www.byond.com (byond_setup.exe) To carry through download, I will choose one of the servers above. If you use some gerenciador of download, not pass this URL for the same, click in link normally that the next page will make the redirecionamento for its gerenciador and still will bring link direct in case that the same does not catch it automatically.

Maybe he is supposed to be it?

Don't forget that many foreign languages give each noun a gender. In that case, "creator" may be masculine, and thus, the pronoun would use the masculine form, ie he.

it also could have been a typo on the part of the writer.. "that can be used..." makes more sense.

i'm not sure what the problem here is... this appears to be something like a spanish-version of downloads.com, nothing more...perhaps DanTom knows about it already, through private conversations?

It's the Google/Babelfish translator. It does that.

That's because translation between languages is impossible. You have to reinterpret meanings because even words in different languages that talk about the same subject can mean entirely different things. For example, "in" is used in the expression "in-character", but if you were to say the direct translation "dans la charactère" in French, that would mean, literally, "inside of the character's body".

It all boils down to context, and computers are incapable of recognising context.
In response to Spuzzum
computers only do what they are told to do. Context is not art, it is mathematical. You could, theoretically create a translator that translates based on context :)

There are plenty of words in langauges that don't have literal translations in others. There are also groups of words with similiar meanings in one language that might all translate to one word in another language as it doesn't have the minor variations therefore meaning is lost in the translation.
