Does anyone else here play it? Do you play on Bloodfin?

Im going to get it on my birthday (August 15)! Is it as good as people say?
|
I can't run it, my computer was well within the initial projected req's when they first came out with it, and I signed up for beta, but it just got to high for me.

Tried it, hated it. I dont mean to burst your bubble people, but do NOT purchase "Star Wars Galaxies", unless your one of those Star Wars die-hard fans.. I personally look forward to "World of Warcraft", made by Blizzard, people who actually know how to run a game. All the games they created have been widely successful and still, they have never died. From the early days of "Warcraft", to the future days of "World of Warcraft", may Blizzard reign above all until the end!

I havent tried it yet, but I honestly think that Star Wars Galaxies would have done better as a FPS with skills and character advancement.. Fast paced action requiring wit and strategy, not just targeting and hitting a button.
sniping actually requiring you to aim and take into consideration the wind. I just finished playing the game 'Eternal Ring' for the ps2, not half bad but in the sense of 'island' and 'exploration' I didnt take notice of either. I greatly dislike any games that are 'in my own words' "Geografugged-up" if its an island, there should be few obstructions, and if there is a high cliff, there should be a safe way down while staying on the same map. Morrowind was Geographically sound, but too slow paced for me. When I enter an online game, I enter with high standards, if I dont like what I see and I dont see what I expect, it sucks. Im looking for a game to be created that is geographically sound, has alternative modes of transportation (driving and passenger) all vehicles shown can be attained somehow, player housing (not just a separate server.. if its an apartment I want to be below or beside another player, and if i look outside I want to see whats actually going on....sorry neocron but you werent the greatest there.) So far planetside is the only online game that hasnt disappointed me. It has everything it advertised. The latest space exploration online games are very disappointing, again they are geografugged up. space has 3 dimensions not 2dimensions with height. there arent layers in space, and there is no up or down.. Earth and beyond programmers failed to understand this and made the most linear online RPG i've EVER seen. I havent yet played EVE Online but I already expect the same corner cutting. Ill try these games, but I probably wont like them. |

Planetside is quite disappointing when you realize that you're playing Tribes 2 without jetpacks and with worse hit detection, which is all client-side, so someone who is totally lagged up can shoot you and hit you when you are safely around a corner.

I am quite sure "World of Warcraft" catches all of these perspectives. From flying fully 3-d in gryphons to trotting apun land with horses, "World of Warcraft" has it all. In a recent interview, the devolopement team said they will, unlike any other MMORPGs, give the players more "feel" into the world. Though I do not know of player housing, I am certain "World of Warcraft" will have enough things to even keep the most hardcore, avid gamer happy.

My unreleased game is better than your unreleased game. (Actually I have hopes for WOW, as Blizzard generally does do good work.) |

You either really like it or you really hate it...but don't listen to reviews and judge for yourself...
