Haha, it ended up with him having the age advantage(6 years)
and I ended up beating him in systems owned :P

Even giving you all the variations of the Gameboy, I beat you all combined =D
you could also fork out the extra 20-50 dollars for a 2 year warranty
Xbox is pretty nice.

Well the gamecube controllers are cool, but the main thing that keeps happening with mine are that the control stick gets all jacked up, like you push right and it goes left. is there any way to recalibrate it or something like it? Well it took my normal controller like a year to break and my wavebird did the same thing after only 4 months of light playing. hehe i was so pissed when i went to play mario sunshine (gotta beat it) and i couldnt get control of him. I was like "bitch"

I play agent under fire a couple hours a day, and my madcatz controller that i got new(other controller is used and its in perfect condition), its c-stick makes a slight noise when used, but it doesnt affect gameplay.
I know you mentioned you've tried lens cleaners already, but I've had good luck with the Maxell CD lens cleaner disc, the one with 6 separate bristles on the back. You might also need to run the lens cleaners through a couple times before you notice progress.

I love Sony. Nintendo has always been the company of video game monopolies...Microsoft has their computers.

I must admit, I loved N64...but Sony can really make a game. As for online? It will really embarass Microsoft(who work with computers ONLINE)when Sony is kicking their ass.

Put your Sony online. As for your Vice city, dude, that's a really SUCKY thing. I love the game...mind you, SONY liscened(Spelling..) it.

I love Sony. My advice? Don't chuck an extra 100 bucks out the window when you get the XBox(Sorry, I have to say it's nice too...a few games that are KICKING BUTT)

Uhm...Im trailing off. I <3 Sony.

That's "news" to me.
It's funny how all these people are having problems with their PS2's while mine works perfect, i've had it since March 2002. Maybe the ones who complain dont wash their hands before playing, leave heavy things sitting on the PS2, drop the PS2 on the ground, step on the PS2, open the disc drive without pressing the buttons, or something.

Controllers will last longer if you don't throw them against walls, eat them, drop them in water, drive over them in a car, or leave them in a trash compactor.

Go and get one of the older controllers, the smaller ones. The new big huge ones are tough and hard to hold, the old ones are small, just a little bit bigger than playstation ones. They are light and not uncomfortable. The only problem with the older xbox controllers is that the D-Pad tears up your finger on games like DoA3.

Erm... the "S" controllers, the small ones, were developed later for Japan, since MS apparently believes that Japanese people have small hands. After hearing all the complaints in the US about the big controller, they decided to release it in the US as well.

Gamecube is tiny, and full of cartooney games, but fun sometimes.

And what's wrong with cartoony games?

XBox is a kickbutt system, and has Halo.

XBox has Halo. It has little else going for it, besides the fact that anything good produced by small companies will be bought out by Microsoft.

PS2 has vice city.

Funny you didn't mention GTA 3, which Vice City was the sequel to.

Seems like that's all you can mention for XBox and PS2. In my opinion people that create games on Xbox and PS2 rush games and they end up being terrible and get mediocore reviews in magazines and such. Sure PS2 and *gasp* XBox may have their games but Nintendo can be thought as the ultimate.

Seeing as getting many delays from Nintendo for Systems and Games it comes out and you see it's totally worth it. Nintendo is so dedicated to their systems that they actually want to do work themselves in creating software for it. Not just sit around and let 3rd party developers make crap games. Just see how many characters have graced our heart that are made by Nintendo. See how many PS2 and XBox characters do that, and will be remembered in video game history forever.

It really has nothing to do with GTA3, except for the fact that it says "Liberty City" at the bottom of the screen in the opening cut-scene.

Ever since I got my PS2 It said disc read error occasionally on compact discs but rarely. It hasn't been even a year and it's fully acting up. I had Vice City the first day it came out and it was working fine. 3 months later I had to turn the radio off or the PS2 would say: Error: Reading Grand Theft Auto: Vice City DVD. I stayed with my cousins for Christmas break and when I got home I wanted to play Vice City but here came Mr. Disc Read Error. Sony knew that it would happen so you would send it in to them to fix it for $125 dollars. They want us to pay for their mistakes/ sinister ways? I want everyone to reply to this, tell me if Xbox or Gamecube has the same problems because I might get one of those and send that insignificant piece of garbage flying out the window into the trash can. If you are a newbie and you're wating to get a PS2 for your birthday, I beg you to reconsider and don't waste your mommy's paycheck. F**k Sony to hell. I read many mssg. boards over the internet on how to disable the case and fix it. I know how but I haven't tried yet but I'm trying tonight People have had the same problem as me. It read the old discs but not anymore. Maybe becasue I diddn't have the PS2 vertical always like I should and teh dust got in there. well anyway I urge you not to associate sony and fill their greasy pockets with cash. Read tutorials on how to fix your PS2. Those lens cleaners diddn't work for me. And I haven't tried to change the voltage yet? Anyone got any other suggestions? Well anyway Sony, go straight to hell you cross-eyed bastards!

I believes Sony's attempt was to sell a Vertical stand, which all discs are supposed to play good when the System stands Vertical. I know it works much better that way too.

It also has some of the same characters (your boss is one of the main mission guys from GTA3).
Get a gamecube. Avoid suxbox like the plague, for it is made by the Devil! (aka Bill Gates)

Never had a problem with my PS2, never known a person who has had problems. The only problem I have is that DVD's are slightly less likely to work on my PS2 than they are on our DVD-Player(While the DVD-Player can play them even if they are severely scratched, the PS2 cannot).

The games for PS2 are great(Way of the Samurai, FFX, Wipeout, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, Dead or Alive 3(Even the PlayStation 2 one sores your thumbs, by the by), Tekken Tag/Tekken 4, and I can go on and on).

The controller is simple, and has enough buttons to provide an array of different control elements. Two D-sticks, a D-pad, 4 standard buttons(X,Y,C,S), and 4 alternate buttons(L1,L2,R1,R2).

The only thing that the Xbox has going for it is Halo, really. Its their trumph card, but it isn't anywhere near enough to compete with Sony. The control is, with a single word: Totally-and-utterly-HORRIBLE.

Gamecube looks like it has a lot of fun games too, and the Resident Evil Classic remake looks absolutely eye-stunning(As in, I've yet to see better rendered graphics in a game). Haven't messed around with the controller much, but it looks better than the Xbox one.
