to me, as of the age of 12 the kid can make decisions. but should still be educated . if they arent educated by their own parents about situations like rape, sex, and abductions the parent is doing something HORRIBLY wrong.

I have not seen a single person near my age in 2 years, and uh... I was uh.... not even tall enough to look over a bar then but since Ive got the equivilant social life of a rock, I have to say Im a virgin. -.- I havent even gotten to first base yet, blah. To tell you the truth its all BYOND's fault too. Being addicting and all, I used to try and escape from my house, now people are trying to force me outside. Blah. And yes this is a very personal post, Im just bored.

lol! All of my freinds are girls, but half of those are lesbians, it's really funny when you can go over to a freind's house and watch TV and agree on which girls are hot, gay girls are so much fun, for the most part, they have the same opinions as me.
I mean, I was really behind on my social life until 13, when I met my best friend in 7th grade, and she seriously caught me up. she basically taught me everything that was kikin' in this world, how to make molotovs, etc. But now, I see her as a friend, even after the many atempted relationships, and all the trouble times. I'm 15 and I find sex scary, I stand alone. I don't fear sex itself, just some of the diseases and the pregnancy issue. I don't want kids, and I don't need anything that'll be rotting my [expletive deleted] off. I love women/girls, and nothing can hold me back from my goals when I have one, I've had an offer, but I turned it down, #1 I wasn't in love with the girl, #2 I had NO experience whatsover, and this girl had been around with so many guys, #3 I already stated it above. I think about that decision all the time, and I still see it as a correct one. and besides, have you ever sen alien? --Ter (last name renounced) out. P.S. Yes, I changed my first name from Steve to Ter in 8th grade, and yes, I renounced my last name. | |

First off, why would you ask a question of that sort? :-P Why not ask 'Why is the sky blue?' or 'What is 2 x 2?'

In Canada, it's 14 (C'mon, Canada... get on the ball here!). In the US, 14 is only legal in two or three states. But even there, it is legal only if the younger party does not complain. In other words, consent can be retracted after the fact, and the age otherwise stands at 16/17.
In most states, the age is 17 or 18, and if the 14-year-old asked the 60-year-old to have sex, it would be called "statutory rape" if it happened. By its legal definition, a minor CAN NOT give consent.
