I seem to have such a hate for the ff series once it left super nintendo, i dont know why though
Same thing. For me it is because the storyline went all to heck. I knew what was gonna happen and stuff.

he is impling what the ps2 can do over the GC makes it cheaper. no, your calculations are wrong. hardware stuff = 100 to 150 dollars + 100 to 50 (was 150 to 200) dollars for profit = $200. Surely playing a playstation 2 isn't priceless on the math I did, it only costed $200. On a completely differant subject, why do you need a console to be able to play cd's. I'm assuming since your posting here you have a computer, so you can play any music you need with a computer. |

It is, but there is a diffrence in a $500 DVD player and a $200 gaming/DVD player.

I was referring to those that already have a real DVD player...
For those that don't, though, this is a good thing... Like you said... |

on some PSX games and maybie some PS2 you can just take out the game CD and put in what you like. Granted the its nice to choose what you leason to. But to me part of a game is its music, the X-box is cheating so they dont have to put music in with there games as much, tisk tisk on them.

The X-Box is going the way of Sega to fast. They have the best system(when it comes to hardware) but totaly missed on software(games), They have very few exclusive titles. Microsoft just really messed up on the X-box, im a big fan of microsoft, but this is one thing i jsut dont like. Im not sure why they didnt do like they were going to and make it combatible with PC games. When i first read about it, thats was something they were going to do(this was before it was the X-box and was simply Project-X, and the GC was the Dolphin). But for some reason they droped that, :(. That really made me mad, because when it came out, i didnt have this dream machine of a computer. I had a crappy IBM with a 333 PII equvelint. So i wanted to to play PC games.

I'm just wondering how you can argue with this lineup-
The Getaway SOCOM: Navy Seals Tomb Raider: Dark Angel Ratchet & Clank Sly Cooper and the Theivius Racoonus MGS2: Substance Tribes 2 Everquest Online Adventures FF11 and FF12 The Tolkien games Medal of Honor GTA: Vice City Armored Core 3 Auto Modellista Blood Rayne Dark Cloud 2 Summoner 2 Dave Mirra BMX XXX Devil May Cry 2 Dargon's Lair 3D Deus Ex 2: Invisible War Enter the Matrix Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Gran Tourismo 4 Grandia Xtreme Legaia 2 Midnight Club 2 Mortal Combat Deadly Aliance Onimusha 2 Prisoner of War Red Dead Revolver Red Faction 2 Resident Evil Online Rygar Shadow Hearts 2 Shinobi Silent Hill 3 Skies of Arcadia The Sims Star Wars Galaxies Tenchu 3 The Thing Rainbow Six Tony Hawk's 4 Twisted Metal Black Online Wreckless: The yakuza missions Xenosaga XIII Zone of the Enders 2 Those are gams announced for the near future. If any Xbox fan can argue that Microsoft has a better list, I'd like to see it. Now I truly remember why I got a PS2.... |

I'm just wondering how you can argue with this lineup- let's see which one of these are ALSO coming for Xbox first: BloodRayne The Matrix Star Wars: Galaxies hmm, if Dargon's Lair was the closely spelled game Dragon's Lair 3d then it would go here Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six The Lord of the Rings series Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions XIII Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon The Thing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 Medal of Honor most of these are the good games, although most of which the games you announced seem to be pretty aweful in my opinion (Take Dragon's Lair 3D). Now onto the list of Xbox games I personally want to see and games that look pretty good: Dead or Alive 3 The Lord of the Rings series (also availible on ps2) Dead or Alive: Extreme Volleyball Star Wars: Galaxies (for ps2 I beleive) Halo Project Ego ToeJam & Earl III: All Funked Up (I remember this game from Sega Saturn) Wiggles (Not the annoying stupid kiddie "band" but a game which the american title is "Diggles" (One of my top 10 favorite games)) Wrath Dungeons and Dragons Heroes Black and White: The Next Generation Blood Omen 2 (also availible for ps2) Apprentice knight (so far that is) Blood Wake Call of the Dragon Fly (so far, again) Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind EvilDead: A fistful of Boomstick (this looks funny and great) Fate (again, so far) Gun Metal Gaia Blade Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (probably for ps2) Hitman 2: Stealth Assasin Internal Affairs (another, so far) Infiltrator: Shadow Wars Kung Fu Chaos Knights Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter Mech Assault Marvel vs. Capcom 2 New Legends Robotech The Matrix (probably for ps2 also) The house of the Dead 3 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 All ones that say "so far" is that their on my "list of liked games" list but are under some development and could change. I have looked a bit into each game also, and I'm liking the future of the Xbox.... |

Whatever, there's no point in fussing with you, cause it's your word against mine... I'm just saying if you make a rude post to this or anything, I'm going to see myself as having won this arguement.
Ne Me So On and So On, it's your choice, but I'm going to say that I really hope you get a playstation 2. Sure, Xbox is a better system and it may have a few truly good games. But aren't you going to want GTA3, or Vice City? What about Ace Combat 4, or Final Fantasy? Sure, you could get Halo and DOA3 and a few others, but what about the PS2 exclusives? The only people I see buying Xbox's are the hardcore tech guys, who care more about hardware than software. You know, the L33t ones. This doesn't mean anything about the games though. On the other hand, a lot more people like the Playstation, and how can you tell over 800,000 people that they are wrong? It's probably a lot easier to say that 400,000-500,000 people (xbox). Finally, if you don't have broadband, you had best get a PS2. Xbox Live will ONLY support broadband. Some PS2 games will require it, but most won't. |

ok, new plan everyone can agree on. Just get the Pacman Arcade machine and download the song "Pacman Fever" to play while playing the arcade machine. I'm sure that will ne tons o' fun more then some lousy xbox, ps2, and gamecube. No technical errors, no graphic glitches, no bugs, no lag. no money? no problem. no kidding....
|
either ps2 or gc because ps2 has good games but the gc has the best gfx and great games coming out...not the xbox *does hand motion*

In my experiences, game cube has had the most blockiest, riggid, and slowest graphics out of the 3 consoles, Xbox probably has the smoothest, but Playstation 2 just has by far most entertaining games out of the 3.

Why does anybody have to be "wrong" here? Sounds to me like 1,200,000-1,300,000 happy people. Nobody is trying to make you feel bad that you bought a PS2. Really, they're not. If you feel that way anyway, there's not much we can do about it. |
who need's music compatibility when they have a computer? Really, I can download any song I want, and play it while playing a console. It's not a very useful thing. I don't think Final Fantasy 10 was all that great either. Really, it's storyline sucked. I was able to predict just about everything. The only thing I liked was some of the graphics and the voice acting. I'd rather play Final Fantasy 3 (The story is the only thing that keeps me playing final fantasies) than 10. They also both can play DVD's, but you have to buy something for the Xbox, but it's not like you need another dvd player when you already have one (I'm assuming one is already there). I just think the Xbox has a good future, and what's the point in getting a ps2 right now? The ps3 should be comming in a couple years, the've only advertised it not too long after the ps2 was released.
