OK, now after I have seen BYOND for a little bit, I've decided to make my first game. And I want to make a DBZ game based off of Dragon Ball Zeta. Ok, now that I have your attention, I want to make a MUD. I've only ever played one MUD before, and that was the Two Towers MUD. I think it was from www.angband.com/towers. Anyway, I really want to make a good one, but I sat down and thought about it, and I have no idea where to start. Has anyone made a MUD before? What do I do?

No, it was not just a telenet mud, it was also Java. And I was joking about DBZ. Maybe I didn't make that clear.

I don't think you understand what I meant. I meant that the mud i played was hosted through telenet and a java app. I wasn't talking about byond.

Newbie? Was that like an insult? Uh, again, I don't think you understand what this post was about. I want to make a MUD for BYOND, and I want to know how to go about doing that.
P.S. I think that if I post on a "Newbie Central", then it doesn't take a scientist to figure out I'm a "Newbie". So, unless you can help me, why don't you do the world a favor and go to a Harry Potter chat room to screw off. I'm looking for programming help. | |

I asked for help; you insulted me without reason. And I tried Dan's MUD, but for some reason, it said couldn't include dan/maze file. So, I want to know how other people think I should do it. You are a jerk. I'm gonna report you or something for being such a jerk. Stop responding. You are not amusing anyone, espically me. You just want attention. I would suggest learning a little more about the DM language, then going to Foomer's mud board at http://www.nadrew.com/MUDdesign/. Some of the posts have links to resourceful tutorials for mudding, you can even make a mud on byond that telnet users can connect to and play on with some of the tutorials.
