Whoops, I meant to reply to this post and I ended up editing instead and erasing the original list.
DOGMA!
Hannibal
Sliding Doors
Dogma
Better Than Chocolate
Frankenstein (The Branagh version, of course.
Hamlet (Ditto.)
The Man in the Iron Mask
The Long Kiss Goodnight
Tank Girl
Romy and Michelle

Interesting. Tank Girl is on tonight, for me, at 1:30 AM. (I was just browsing through the TV guide.)

Hannibal might be right out, but it'd be a good watch. Haven't seen Sliding Doors or Dogma or Better Than Chocolate. Frankenstein isn't my kind of movie, mainly because I'm tired of that theme. Hamlet wouldn't be bad. The Man in the Iron Mask might be fun to watch too. Unsure about The Long Kiss Goodnight, mainly because if I have seen it, I don't remember it. =P

Romy and Michelle is too dim for my tastes. Never saw Tank Girl so I couldn't tell you about that one.

Hmm... go for The Man in the Iron Mask or Hamlet, or if you're annoyed or violent right now, Hannibal. =)
Dogma is always good for some laughs.

Sliding Doors is kind of a "concept movie", it follows the course of a woman's life in two divergent plotlines, based on a moment's difference in timing. Dogma might interest you as a free-thinking spirit... its underlying message is the danger of dogmatic thought, with undercurrents about the importance of forgiveness. And it has Jay and Silent Bob.

Frankenstein isn't my kind of movie, mainly because I'm tired of that theme. Hamlet wouldn't be bad. The Man in the Iron Mask might be fun to watch too.

If you haven't seen the Branagh/De Niro one, I recommend you do. It was more of an attempt to make a movie based on the book than it was an attempt to make a "monster movie."

Unsure about The Long Kiss Goodnight, mainly because if I have seen it, I don't remember it. =P

Geena Davis plays an amnesiac counter-assassin (i.e., an assassin that works for "our side"). It's kind of like The Bourne Identity (which is going to be a movie soon, too.)

Romy and Michelle is too dim for my tastes.

I like Lisa Kudrow's typical characters because they show how a person doesn't have to be intelligent or educated to have worth. And they all have really long necks.

Never saw Tank Girl so I couldn't tell you about that one.

Lori Petty. Malcolm McDowell. A guerilla army of mutant kangaroos. What's not to like?

Hmm... go for The Man in the Iron Mask or Hamlet, or if you're annoyed or violent right now, Hannibal. =)

I'm thinking either Hannibal or Dogma. I'm not really up for a period piece, now that I've had time to reflect. Yeah, I'll go with Dogma. Hannibal's not a period piece, but a lot of the first half plays like one.
Dogma!!

kevin smith movies can never be denied, especially chasing amy

ahha, hint hint

(not trying to start anything)
Okay, so I started with Dogma. Quick trivia question: what three words does Silent Bob say in this movie?

In fact, here's some more Askewniverse trivia questions.

1) Lots of actors have done double duty throughout the series... which two characters played by the same person have appeared in the same movie?

2) Which two characters played by the same person have had sex with each other?

3) What are the names of the three Jones sisters? In what order in the series do they appear?

[EDIT AGAIN]

and since no one is trying to answer anything but the first question, here's some more, and a challenge. The first person (by time/date stamp) to post the answer to each question will receive a shiny new Dime! I'll also give Rcet one for getting two of Silent Bob's words from Dogma... and one to the person who gets the other.

4) How did Kevin Smith fund the shooting of Clerks?

5) What was the name of the carpet outlet in Mallrats?

6) When is Dante scheduled to work at the QuickStop? (trick question... this one has no answer.)

at what part of the movie is? is it when they first meet up with chris rock?
In response to Rcet
That's two of them.
In response to Lesbian Assassin
"no ticket" "yes"
In response to Mountain Dew
Like Rcet said, he says, "No ticket," to explain to the guy cowering in the corner why he tossed the guys off the train. That's an Indiana Jones reference.
In response to Mountain Dew
Nope.
In response to Lesbian Assassin
"no ticket" "blunt"
