Yeah all rock is like that pretty much spiked blue red purple green orange raindow haired freaks singing about their life and how they were beaten as a child or some mumbo jumbo that doesnt make sense like "i wanna take you down your soul cannot be found it doesnt matter what you say your disease is killing me" and thats not from a gothic song it just make udderly(sp?) no sense rap has rhymes that actually make sense and not "**** hoe mother uffer smack em up good!" and they use big words YES big words because most rappers actually reasearch their music for words that rhyme with meaning.

No not ALL rock is like you say it is. Linkin Park for example is rock (not rap, mind you) they're not like that. All a rapper is a vulger poet that has music to rhyme to.

The school shooters and bombers were as goth as Marilyn Manson, who is as much of a goth as Britney Spears is a rock star. Marilyn Manson is the world's biggest fraud. People in college always assumed I was a Manson fan because of the way I dressed, but as I always told them, "I'm not trying to look like him... he's trying to look me."
Not that I'm "a goth." I just dress the way I dress and act the way I act. "Real gothics" accuse me of "trying to be a goth," but that's their problem of trying to put me into a box, seeing that I don't quite fit into any, and then forgetting that they were the ones who wanted me to fit into a box in the first place. | |

The whole post is about stereotypes. Im a Freshmen, i listen to rap, i smoke a little, and i dont fail one class. Ive actually got pretty good grades. You can just say rap is a bad influence and ignore everything else, if you listen to the new rock coming out its mostly just about what green dice just talked about. Adults have to look at it from a different point of view sometimes. When you were a kid your parents hated your music just as much as my parents hate mine, and for the time your was just as bad as mine. Try to look at things from a better stand point than just "I dont like it so it must be the worst thing in the world."
