If abuse is happening screen shot it and log it, then show whoever is in charge, likely the host. If the host doesn't listen then you were likely to be 'abused' anyway since the host is such a bad person, and allows minihost to go on treating people unfairly. I don't think having minihosts with the same power as the host is a bad idea, it's simply a way to extend the reach of the host's will, and if the host's will isn't all that pure, then your problem isn't with the minihosts it's with the host. A host tends to make people they like and who agree with their way of thinking their minihosts. If a minihost doesn't like you then chances are the host is the kind of person that won't like you either.
Minihost are not the root of the problem, they're a useful tool that can be used for either bad or good. If there was going to be abuse there would be abuse if they existed or not
If enough people dislike it compared to the people who like it, it can and will be changed. There is power in numbers, make a petition if you will.

For your own server, you can do whatever you want-- I honestly prefer this system.
However, there might not be a verb for injecting you, and so they may really be just unable to do it. In which case you might be able to suggest it. | |
Nope. It's just being told no because of reasons other than not being able to do it, even though they do it to themselves for no reason sometimes. Abuse will still happen on this game with this system. The host will do nothing about it because they choose the mini hosts, and choose it based on friendship more than who is actually going to be good at it.

The ones who won't are the ones whose servers are worth playing on. But there is always the possibility for the ones who won't. Under a centralized server system, with one set of mods who run every server, there are two major things: You cannot, as the server owner, enforce your server rules how you want to. This means that you can't have your own kind of server, or have a unique server. If some/all of the set of mods who run every server are corrupt or unfair, then there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it-- Provided that complaints aren't taken seriously. And in a close friendly game like this, a lot of complaints won't get taken seriously. | |

The answer is to keep things as they are. A host is not forced to have minihosts and they are not told they cannot have them. It all comes down to the choice of the host.

For some context. The round was a nearly finished Madoka round, and the person who got injected was literally wished back to life. Please ignore their whining; They shouldn't be whining about server-specific things on here regardless.

I'm not talking about that though. I'm talking about the round before where one of your mini-hosts or whatever (won't mention names) injected themselves at 9 PM game time, just to play with a specific friend. If they can inject themselves at 9 PM game time for no reason I see no reason why I can't be injected at 10 PM game time.
Though honestly, I don't find it too surprising that a host would use "they're just whining" as a way to dismiss a complaint. I went onto the forums for this game, but I didn't see a complaint section. So I figured I would raise it here, since it would reach more people anyways. | |
Certain servers and mimnihosts consider certain times to be 'cutoff points' for injections. I personally feel that 10/11 is a good cutoff point.

I love how some people believe that complaining here about certain servers will invoke any action on behalf of Frosty or me. It is their server, they are free to run it how they wish, if they are acting like total douchebags, optionally gather a group of friends and create your/your friend's own server or join another server. It's that simple and people do not seem to realize that. This game is not meant for people to flock to one server, this is not an MMORPG. The game is meant to handle 16 players and a few spectators, and I cannot simply provide much support if it goes over that limit. Have a single problem with the host/minihosts that you don't think is worth moving over? Use the BYOND Pager to page the host, rather than the comments section here, it is more likely to get the problem solved. If not, you have two options: move, or deal with it (optionally getting on their good side). Not trying to sound rude or offensive or anything, but that's basically all there is to it. People will be people, and they are free to be people here. It's like a government, don't like it? Move/overthrow it.

That seems to be the least rude statement in my whole paragraph. How is it in any form superior? Frosty and I are the only ones who can change the game to the highest degree, a few people want us to change the system drastically (not the majority, if it were, I'd get right on it), and that's what was supposed to be conveyed in the message. We have the code, the general public does not.

They are being silly because I warned them and they are not taking heed of any of my warnings. Also, ranting out about certain servers would belong in the General Discussion, Creativity, or General Misuterii Discussion sections of the forum, depending on the content of the rant.
