For some time now, I've been using the word "Stupid" to reference anything of particular inconvinience to me. However, it has been brought to my attention* that "Stupid" is not the word to use.

I turn to you to spout me a word that meets these requirements:
  • 1-5 sillables
  • Non-vulgar
  • Has the meaning: Of particular inconvinience to (or something to that degree)

The person who finds me this word will find them 2 dimes and a TextMUD subscription richer!

If your meaning is accurate, I think you've won... that's a perfect, short word. My mouth likes it.

Well, that's the definition I pulled straight from Webster's New World Dictionary of the American Language (Second College Edition). As for the dimes, save them for games!

I got the impression you were looking for an adjective, but most people seem to have suggested nouns. Which is it?

Hmm, well LoW, When I'm quite frustrated with someone, I might say:

"YOOOUUU ANTAGONISING PENUS!!"
or
"OBTRUSIVE DUNCE!"

hee hee. For frustrating situations, I use:

"THIS IS SOOO FRUITELESS MAN!".

hmmm, don't ask why. I suppose it just makes the situation seem... well.. fruitless!

I seem to recall one of the criteria being "not vulgar". I do like the word "antagonist", though... that, or "boor", "crude ignoramus", or even "bum-bum poo head"*.

* It's a thing my cousin came up with when I was teasing her when she was 7 years old -- it stuck mainly as an inside joke among my friends. =)

how about words in German?

'Trottel' - really means 'Nincompoops' but is used for 'stupid', or 'idiot'...

'Doof' - means 'stupid'...as in 'Das ist Doof' ('That is stupid') or 'Du bis Doof' ('you are stupid')

I have used the word Lummox a few times over the past few weeks, and It's catching on to me. I realized it's won, so I'm going to give the prize to Xooxer! Sorry for the long wait. ;-)
