I am trying to change a file extension, but its not part of the files name. How can I change it?
At the top of your explorer window (the one you browse your file system with, not your internet browser) there is View, click on it and goto Folder Options... Then click on the View tab at the top, which will show you a list of boxes, make sure the one that says: "Hide file extensions for known file tyes" is unchecked. This will show you the extension, and allow you to modify it like you would the filename. Hope this helps!
