FINALLY FINISHED!
(Well, as finished as it gets in 48 hrs) TO PLAY: http://files.byondhome.com/Bloodocean7/O%27%20Death-done.zip Here is our (my sister and I's) game: O'Death. You're a doctor in a town plagued by a viral infestation, your first task is to collect some medicine from your home (PICK UP MEDS BY PRESSING Z BY THE CABINETS) to heal a dying child who lives up the street from you. Worried your daughter, (who is in the next town over with your wife) may have been affected by the plague you go to find her, and instead encounter a stranger on the crossroads between towns.. who claims to know you. To save your daughter and the town from this masked man's deadly viral infestation, you must defeat Death and his army of rats. In advance: we will upload a more polished version of the game after the contest is over! :) We also apologize in advance for any bugs and glitchy game play.. we tried. lol Thank you everyone for your time and interest! Congratulations to all! :) SCREEN SHOTS: :) All art was done by Offin, all code by Bloodocean7 and all within 48 hrs! Down to the last minute. :3 |

Critism:
First, of all why are the dialouge boxes staying on the map? Next, time add the dialouge boxes to the screen not to the objects. Second, why isn't my characters body moving east, west, and north. It only has one movement and that's south. The game doesn't tell you where to go i got stuck in the time where i met the guy with the mask after that i cant go anywhere else. |

is that positive or negative?
All artwork was drawn within the 48 hours (In between our work shifts) and all code as well. The music is Royalty free public domain. We have much more done that just was to much to add in in so little time, but the basic storyline and concept is finished and works. |
I will have to withdraw =/, I couldn't finish on time because I ran into some technical problems like buggy AI, which consumed most of my time, what a bummer.
Oh well I guess I tried, here's what i managed to make .. And congrats to everyone else who finished their games, I'll be playing 'em all promptly. |

Yeah XD Being the artist I could say we wanted as much of the game finished as possible-- so while I'm very capable of animating a movement state in 4 directions I wanted all the tiles and areas and text boxes done before I polished little things.
I'm so glad we actually followed through and posted it though! It was a very interesting challenge! :D Thank you for giving it a try! I know it's not perfect ^__^; but that's what 48 hours gives you lol <3 |

We had alot to do in a short window of time, over all we got 20 hours tops to finish this lol also, she planned on adding the other walking states, but frankly its not simple and takes time to do. Also we said in game to press z to go to new places, if you cant proceed try using z :)
Like I said I have sooo much more for the game that I just couldent put in, but still I'm stoked at the fact I even finished this game in the short time window, even with some bugs and lack of features and polish, I had a load of fun :) |

is that positive or negative? Well, then make it more clear where the player has to go BTW, it was all negetive. Even thou i liked how the character looked. Putting something to the client's screen takes about 2 minutes. I'm not trying to be mean just telling you that i expected more for you and your sister staying up all night to make, while there is 2 3D games here. When one is made in 36hours it took you 48 hours to make a game with buildings that don't have colors and dialouge boxes that are made in the map instead of the screen. But, i give you credits for "finishing" the game. |

Bro.. why so negative and mean?? XD This was all for fun! :) Also um.. not to be rude/mean but.. you didn't even enter the contest. :U so..
Where do you have any say...? To judge someone like that? Don't get me wrong! Criticism to help improve someone's skills is great! But you said yours was purely negative. To be honest, you just sound like a troll to me. :I |
Welp, we didn't get to finish uploading music and such but our submission was entered. This was alot of fun I hope everyone else had fun. Gonna post the version with music up later. Thanks alot AvidAnimeFan. Couldn't have done it without you.

He's trying to give criticism in a positive way, it's just the way he's only addressing purely negative things and slightly saying everyone has to be on the same level of game creation(which this part is kind of rude), is coming across as negative. I figured I was the only one who felt he was begin too negative though. |
