Directx or something bug.

BYOND Version: 420.986?
Operating System: Win XP
Web Browser: Firefox
Game/Hub(s): hub://
Video Card (for graphics bugs): Not sure.. some intel vid card.

Descriptive Problem Summary:
well when launching a game, before dream seeker starts there is an error: Unable to render map in DirectX. Falling back on software (GDI) mode. If this condition persists, you may want to update your DirectX drivers and/or DLLs. Alternatively, you can disable hardware rendering in the Client/preferences dialog.

Launch a game...

No error box

Actual Results:

Does the problem occur:
Every time
In every games
On my computer
In all accounts

When does the problem NOT occur?
always occurs

further explanation:
Well, i know this is a system problem but i need to know where i can download directX 10 for free and not from microsoft site as im not sure if my windows is "genuine".

Yes i had a problem like that it said could not load Direct X or summit but that was mainly because i didnt make my skin properly or my Dirext X wasnt upto date..

Since you know this is a system problem, I'm moving this thread out of Bug Reports. Please post only BYOND bugs in Bug Reports, not system issues.

I get this problem if im on a byond game and load up battlefield 2. Doesnt seem to happen with any other games i have though o.O

Most games will come with a copy of DirectX on the disc, you could prolly find a directX download from somewhere if you search for it.
