There is a place here in Memphis called Trilogy. Pretty decent. Ive been in hospital rooms less sterile than there.
|
How about I just get you a razor and you can pierce something that can be pierced, such as your ears?

This is for the same reason, but less permanent and over-all a lot cooler. 3rd if your only sixteen and your parents aprove of this damn Some parents are cool like that. Of course, Ive had piercings my parents dont agree with but they paid for anyways to keep me from doing something else/doing it myself. 4th how is a hole in ur wrist sexy Hard to explain, but it is. 5th omfg ur insane You said it before, and your just as wrong this time. Difference of opinion != insanity |

Did you know that about 60% of the time the piercer is using a used needle? I highly doubt that in any even partially respectable business. Of course, this might be accurate if you're friend is doing it for you. But if you're paying a business to do it for you, they don't wanna be sued. |

Well some places have machines that wash needles for them, which I guess is legally acceptable, but a lot of people suggest that you ask for a completely new needle, sometimes not everything gets washed out of an old needled.

It's pretty much a little one room place that you walk into, you sit down, the piercer is literally covered in piercings which are all over his body, plus a bunch of tattoos covering him. He pierces your body, you throw him some cash, and you leave. Odds are he just picked up the needle on the table next to him that he used on his other customer two minutes ago. |

Have you ever been inside of one?
Maybe its just here, but I have yet to see a single tattoo parlor that is like that. Most of them have at least four rooms, and in the two I frequent if someone fails to open the needle thing right in front of you and you point it out, they have to go back and get a new needle and you get the piercing for free. They even have cameras in the rooms to make sure. |

I've been with a number of people inside of various different shops and have never seen or even heard of what you are describing, Cavern. The worst stories I've ever heard are people who complained that the shop itself was nasty, but not once did someone ever say to me that they got stuck with a used needle. |

We didn't have one right in town where I lived, we had to go to Greenbay, but this was the break down of the building..
It was a large white building, with windows in the front. When you walked in, there was a reception desk (glass front, had rings and stuff for your piercings..) and a very nice, normal looking woman who would greet the customers. If you had a appointment, then you told her who you were, what for and when you were expect and then you sat down. If you were a walk in, then you were asked to sit down until someone could fit you in, or you were asked to make a appointment. None of the tattoo or piercing areas were visible to anyone. They had the areas blocked off with walls and a curtain so that people couldn't peek in and watch you unless you wanted to let them. In the waiting area, they had books full of tattoo art you could get. There was also another book full of real tattoos on real people, to give you an idea on how it would look on your body. There are multiple tattoo artists, and each one you had to haggle with. Not every one had the same price and depending on how big or colorful it was, or even on what part of your body it was, it would change the cost of the tattoo. It was a very respectable place of business. And it was as sterile as a hospital. Every single one of the people who worked there, not only had to have a license, but had to go through 4 years of apprenticeship before even being able to work on other people. |

A wrist is not meant to be pierced.

Well, I feel sad for you if thats what yall have to deal with. Or, did you go to one of the less reputable shops? ((You know, the ones that don't ask for ID, etc?))

Neither is any other part of your body in all technicality, yet I dont see you calling people who get their ears pierced insane.

Well, the ear isn't really something you would use that much. I'm not talking about hearing, but your ear doesn't move much, and they mostly get their cartilage pierced. The wrist is something you use every day, and move around every day. It just doesn't seem like the logical piercing choice.

Is there really any logical reasoning behind getting piercings?

There isn't a logical reason behind what most people do.
