I've gotten the golden Shovel and my brother has the golden Slingshot, but we need help. We know what the golden Axe and golden Slingshot do, but what do all the other golden items do? I'm about to pull my hair out not knowing what the difference between the golden Shovel and normal Shovel is!!! Does anyone know!?

Golden Items don't Break.
|
I think the gold slingshot shoots 3 things instead of one
The golden shovel randomly pulls 100 bells out of the ground The golden fishing rod... I don't think it does anything >_> But the golden axe won't break after taking down a tree like a regular one. |

Well in Animal Crossing Wild World:
*Golden slingshot : fires 3 shots *Golden shovel : allows you plant money trees *Golden water pail : turns dying black roses into gold roses Golden fishing rod : makes fishing easier Golden net : makes bug catching easier Golden axe : never breaks * These effects are exclusive to ACWW. In the first AC, golden shovels could dig anywhere and pick up bells, but it only has the above effect in ACWW. |

Did I do something wrong? I watered it, so it didn't die or anything, but it just sat there and didn't give me any money! What gives? |

Did you... shake it?

...No...I thought the money was sopposed to grow on it like friuts. >_> And anyway, I can get money from any tree just by shaking it, although some trees are empty and some have bee-hives so I don't usually do that.

It's random on if you get money from it. If you plant a large amount, the more chance you have of money growing.
It's a big gamble, and not worth it IMO. Just remove all your trees and plant forign fruit. |

Yeah like Dark said, its random if you get money or not and your chances increase the mroe you plant. Be sure not to plant over 30k, because the most you will ever get back is 90k. Also, keep in mind that it takes longer for trees to grow in ACWW. It takes about 3 days for the tree to be fully grown, then 2-3 days for it to bear fruit. But for money trees, give it at least a week to produce money.

90k!? I'm gonna start planting money trees right now!
And about the forign fruit tree thing, I don't have the time to pick food from every tree. I have nine next to my house and that's enough. |

Planting money trees is a huge risk. I make over 120k every three days with forign fruit. It's the way to go.

How is it risky? Sometimes you don't get money? If that's it then I don't see why I shouldn't plant them.

It just that, not all the time your money grows..So sometimes, you blow 30k..You get triple the money you planted back if it grows but never more than 90k. Example : plant 10k, get 30k back. plant 100, get 300 back. plant 90k get 90k back

But...It eventually grows. So it doesn't matter if it doesn't grow one day, won't it grow eventually?

I mean always mature if they grow in the right spot, but they wont always produce money..

This applies for the gamecube version; possibly for the DS version too: Apparantly if you dig up an existing tree trunk, whatever you plant there will always grow- I've usually done this when planting rare fruit, and whilst I have no real evidence to support this (like mass-plantage and tests), I have no evidence against it. Again, for the gamecube version; did you guys ever do "island runs"? Linking your GC and your GBA, then going to the island several times- each time dumping masses of fruit from your town to that island (make sure that you keep the island running on the GBA). Then, using the GBA mini-island, keep feeding fruit to the character that lives there. I found that after about 5 fruit, the character starts to spill out money. Feed every single fruit (the whole island should've been filled up) to the animal, then take the gold that is spewn out and put it on the island away from the creature. Make sure the creature does not touch the gold. The gold bags will vary between 100, 1000, 10,000 and 30,000. Once you are done, take the trip back over and gather all the gold! Normally one island run (that will take about half an hour in real time) would net me about 200,000 to 300,000 gold- possibly 400,000. |

Yeah the tree trick always works, but the money trees always have a chance of not bearing money. As for island money runs, I did them plenty of times to get rich :D .

The best way to make money is just to play a lot.
When I first started collecting fruit I replaced all my trees with fruit trees, and yes I have all the possible kinds of fruit. Fishing is also a great way. I only keep red snappers. On off days I collect shells and coral. Of course looting towns is good too. I went into Nesso's town and took a bunch of stuff he left laying around. |
