All next gen systems will be online. What Microsoft handheld are you talking about? Just cuz games are not bloody, don't mean its kiddy. Apparently DS doesn't pale in comparison to the PSP because its has sold so many(Especially in Japan). Even though PSP is selling mroei n the USA, the majority get it not to play games. The GBA Micro wasn't released to give a lil bosot over PSP(I doubt it), it was made for those "Stylish", "hip" people. Plus, I'm glad nintendo doesn't go for what the average american gamer wants : mindless blood, gore, and violence; otherwise all games would be aa GTA rip. Sure, I like violence and ripping ppl's heads off so I can see their blood sparying everywhere, but I'd rather have good games rather than thousands of games using the same formula without any originality. You got plenty of info wrong in my opinion

I agree with Hiead. I liked the Sony PS2 much better than the Xbox, and will for sure be getting that PS3 rather than the Xbox 360 and the Revolution. I've een waiting for this PS3 for a very long time now. I first read about it back in 2001 or early 2002 and I loved it since then. Everything that was stated about it has been carried out, which is more than I can say for a lot of games for the console systems and operating systems for the computer.
PS: I haven't bothered tolook this up, and it will probably function this way, but will I be able to play my PS2 and PS1 games on the PS3 and save the data to the harddrive? |
That's a very good comparison. On a side note, do you prefer the 2009 Mustang or the 2012 Corvette?

You mean that isn't real? The 360 doesn't have graphics like that? :O
The revolution has been confirmed online, using the "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection." More info will be released by the end of the month. |

I honestly could care less about which of these is better, but your reading the specs completely wrong. The clockspeed on the xbox 360 is 500 mhz, while the ps3 comes in at 550. The ps3 and xbox both have reported cpu clockspeed of 3.2 ghz. And look at that memory bandwidth the X360 has. Compare it to the PS3. Xbox360:22.4GB/s main memory bandwidth, 256GB/s to eDRAM, 21.6GB/s FSB PS3:25.6GB/s main memory bandwidth, 22.4GB/s video memory bandwidth 'nuff said. Don't make me dig out something I found on IGN about both systems that slaps the PS3 in the face. [EDIT]: Oh yeah. You're laughing at The Elder Scrolls:Oblivion? You must really be a nuub. Get to know a game before you criticize it. Liek omgomgomg in MGS4 you play an old 70 year old man that has athritis. And, Graphics depends on the games... not the console. You don't see me laughing at the PS2 because Pacman (arcade version) came out for it along with a lot of other arcade games like Asteroids. |

The PS2 came out much before the other two systems.
That's was a comparison of different technologies. Like comparing your Athlon 64 3000+ to my Athlon 64 X2 4500+. The release date on the later two to the first one is a year's difference. =P |

Exactly.
Sony and Microsoft are heading in completely the wrong way for the video game industry. First I realised the industry had stagnated when developers could easily (and did for most games) port one game to another console with little changes in the actual performance. Why even have three consoles when they all do the same thing? Now they're different enough to actually justify choice between them, but why not just get a PC? It can do more stuff and is just as powerful. |

I don't think you will save the data to the HD(a good thing, in my opinion), but I'm sure that backwards-compatibility is of utmost importance.

Console games tend to load a lot faster. Plus the fact that there is more room to play it doesn't have the booting up of computers. Plus, its fun to play together (I know its a MS thing, but its true), you can't play PC games Co-Op while messing around with your buddies. At least without having a really expenisive system. And most casual gamers don't spend time with PC games as well.

A lot of people here are placing to much on the graphics. What about the games. There has not been one game, besides MGS4, that seems appealing to me on the PS3. The 360 has The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Gears of War, and Halo 3. And the Revolution has SSB, Legend of Zelda, etc. I am definitely getting the 360 first, and Revolution second.

Doubt it. You still had to have Ps1 memory cards for your Ps2. That sucked. And its not like theres gonna be a improvement of graphcis either, just Ps1 games on Ps3..Thats it.
