Critical	Yes, but you cant do everything you could on a computer, can you? I'd rather have a computer so that i can play every game and run apps and all that rather than have a console.

You are almost as ignortant as nintendo. You are trying to tell me, that all gamers think like you and that Nintendo will fade into the background. At least it seems like that to me.

For starters, I was NEVER a fan of online games for home systems. If I wanted to play a online game I always and will always turn to my computer. Also as technology gets bigger and better, there is almost no support for 56K connections anymore in this kind of online play. And at the moment, for some of us, its just too expensive for me to buy DSL or Cable at the moment.

Ive also had my fair share of online games, and to be honest, I didnt care for it that much. Id rather have a group of friends come over to my house, play my games, eat all my food and leave a mess. Its human interaction that I crave, not meaningless online game play and banter.

As for Nintendo, EVERY nintendo purchase I have made, I have been 100% happy with it. From the Orginal Nintnedo to my Gamecube, these systems have never brought me anything more then enjoyment and entertainment. As far as I am concerned, Nintendo is a innavator. And I, for one, am glad Nintendo is taking a different path and exploring new and unused gaming ideas for our industy. And who says they cant? They have the money to mess up at least 1 or 2 system without takint too much finical damage. And every inch of the way I will be rooting for nintendo, becuase, damn I am a fan of them.

And don't get me wrong, I own a Xbox (modded *cough*) Owned a PS2 and I have a Sony PSP on Lay-Away. I can be a general gamer AND a fanboy. Who says I can't? But I agree with Nintendo 100% when they said that the time for sheer horsepower and graphics alone drove a system to the market. And while some of the gamers might be pissed, or even firghtened of these new things coming into the market, I cant be happier.

Shades	Also anyone saying Nintendo dosent believe there is a martket for online games isnt listening, Nintendo has already stated that the new system will be able to go online out of the box. They also suggested that they wont be charging for online game play like Xbox did.

You couldn't get a top of the line video card for $400(top of the line meaning best, of course), let alone an entire computer system. I spent $1200ish on mine and got a nice system I don't plan on upgrading for years and years to come, but its not top of the line. It's just in the margin between nice and awesome :P

Also, computers are outdated the second they are put on the market. Just because it's outdated doesn't mean it's useless. I think the business software cycle for replacing a comptuer is usually about 5 years.

It's gonna work through basic peer-to-peer networking with a hub you can use if you know someone's exact username. (Sort of like how the pager is now.)

Shades	Which is nice, because the DS can connect to other DSes, WIFI hot spots and more, and recently they announced the DS will be able to synch with the Rev. I bet youll be able to use your own gamecube as a hot spot for DS online.

OnLy SoUlJaH	Xbox 360 is the the next xbox. I have proof being a member of xbox live. Microsoft made an annoucement on Xbox live saying The Xbox 360 was the sequel to the first Xbox.

X_andy_X	the thing xbox 360 is totally true i read it in some magazine it's got the sickest controllers and it's 100% better than the regular xbox comes in three colors white, black, silverand i think the new controlers are wireles... but that could be the new ps2 i dunno

Jp	Radians > degrees. Therefore, it should be the Xbox 2Pi! Damnit! Or, you know, it shouldn't be released. Microsoft can't write an operating system, I'm not so confident of their ability to make a decent console.
