how to get a player to be able to choose his/her character?

i need a code that will allow me to do that ive checked the tutorials and every time i compile it it says error undefined var so can someone please help me

Learn from the tutorials + DM Guide rather than trying to edit it in order to make your game. The guides and tutorials are meant to show you techniques you can use to create tons of things.

Like in life when we learn about addition - although the example that we're given is 2 + 2 = 4, the point is that we can then do 6 + 3 = 9.

ive checked them and used them as is ive tried editing them and i still get the same error every time and i already checked all the tutorials and the DM guide and for some reason it still doesnt work

nvm i found one on google and it worked it was on the very last page of google so dont say i didnt look

and i have permission to modify the ones that i did because it had already said it was alright to modify them in it and the only reason i modified them is because the things didnt work
