How long does it hurt if you get hit in the face, like in the teeth?
Um... well it would depend, wouldn't it? A soft punch is going to hurt less and for less time than a hard one.
I've been hit in the face before. By a trebuchet with a 90 pound counter-weight. Owch. Shattered the right half of my skull and took about six months to heal. Hope that's reassuring.

Trebuchet....Are those thingies in real life, or do you compete in the Science Olympiad?
In response to Zaole
Trebuchets were used to knock down castle walls... so I suspect it was probably some kind of science project. =)

Getting hit in the face with one... OUCH. Damn, that must have hurt. I feel sorry for you... -_-

The Science Olympiad's a thingy wit people from a school who do events like Storm The Castle and Robo Billiards and stuff like that. Its interesting.

And here I am feeling gypped that he wasn't making a program which simulates the amount of nerve trauma experienced when a person is struck in the face.

I need to get out more.

Till someone makes a face smashing sim, this should tide you over.
In Judo someone performed a very lazy Harai-Make-Kame on me...I basically went UP 2 feet, down 8 feet and slammed into the floor. On my rebound from the floor, they brought their knee down into my face. It kinda hurt, and still hurts a little now...a day later! The worst thing is; the Make-Kame family are my trademark throws!

It all depends on the person really, some people get punched in the face and just kinda ignore it, while other people get poked in the face and scream and cry like they lost a limb, so it all really depends on the person, just dont think about it and you wont notice it
I got into a fight once with this guy. He got me real good in the face, I reeled from the blow, but didn't fall. The punch didn't leave much of anything on my face, a slight darkening of my left eye that you probably would never have noticed. However, the positioning of the blow did some internal nerve damage that has never gone away. He hit the little pocket of nerves right below my eye socket, and I lost feeling in one of my teeth for a year or so. It's hard to tell if I got any of that back or not, or just got used to the absence of feeling there. The nerve bundle is still damaged, and has become a hard knot under my skin.

The actual punch didn't hurt much, but the damage it did was long-lasting, nonetheless. I guess it depends on what you mean by "hurt".

This guy was a bit psychotic, and used to mess with everyone. He would say stuff to me in passing that would piss me off, but not intice me to fight. Then this one day, he walked by and spit food out of his mouth at me. I couldn't take that at all and got into a fight with him. It was a draw, really. He ended up just walking away halfway through it. Like I said, he was a bit insane.

For about a week after I wanted his blood, in a very bad way. I know, it's not a nice thing to think about, but I was very upset at the lack of closure in that fight.

Eventually, I got over the whole thing, and he actually became pleasant towards me. It was very strange, almost as if me fighting with him made him have some sick sort of respect for me. Did I mention he was nuts?

So do I. This was about ten months ago, and my skull STILL has a crack in it. Stupid French and their trebuchets...

I got suspended for a week because I punched a racist in the face after he proked me. His face needed stitches but I still think he got what he deserved. That's life though....
The whole time.

Nah, sometimes it feels pretty good. You just sort of stand there and think "Oh yeah, I'm so tough", and that feels pretty good.

No, I think she meant it's gonna hurt the whole time it hurts :)
Yeah, well, i once got into a fight. It was intense! We were staring eachother down, like hounds on bacon.. we circled and circled, THEN! he.... blinked, when he blinked i flinched. It ended up that no one ever threw a fist! But a few minutes after that this kid called me a '(Private part a women posesses, use your imagination)' So i was like, "That's it, *$^@ this, you're going down boy!" (Yeah i even used commas when i spoke). At first i hit him in the stomach, then he gave me a blow to the face. The crowd was like, "Oooowwhh", So i was like, "Damn this is my reputation i'm holding". So i popped one to his right cheek, instantly breaking my hand, and breaking his cheek bone. He couldn't speak, either because his jaw was messed up, or he was in too much pain. But then he couldn't help but kick me in the stomach. So i pulled a 'Jaky-Chan', i had punched him in the stomach (left hand) then tripped him. When he was on the floor i was kicking him, and he tried kicking me back...then immidiatly the crowd pulls me away, they had me by the legs, as i was trying to punch the guy. Yeah, well it shows.. you cannot pop one to the cheek, put one to the nose, hurts less on your part, more on his. Although i got a 10 day suspension, fighting IS the solution.
