It's an ISS if your caught playing a game of any sort in school, even on a TI calculator. I really only find joy in talking with people anyways at school, and saving games and stuff when I'm not doing anything at home. Here's my schedule:

8AM: School starts, my favorite class Theology 1
8:50AM: Multimedia class, talk to this cute punk rock chick always hanging outside her English 1 class(It's sort of become a tradition now)
9:45: Homeroom for announcements, finish Algebra 1 homework
10:00: Algebra 1, the only class with the only teacher I HONESTLY hate
10:50: Speech - stupid teacher, and really hyper and annoying kids who wont stop bothering me in class
11:45: Lunch, usually go play basketball with some guys, or flirt with girls, never really eat at school
12:30: Integrated Physics and Chemistry - an alright class, get to sit next to one of my good friends in this class hence my low average in it
1:25: English 1 - favorite class not teacher wise, but friend wise, because I get to hang out with someone who is exactly like me
2:15: Latin 1 - Really weird kids in this class, I hate it but the teacher is a pushover so I can get away with anything and pass without doing any work, its sad
3:00: Go to afterschool tutorials, hang out in the lunchroom, or just wait for my carpool until about 3:45 then I head home

Overall, school has its good and bad days, I wouldn't say it's terrible.

Concerning playing games, go into some programming-related class. Program your own game, and call it homework whenever they ask. :)

Heh, that's my excuse if I'm caught playing computer games in the library. ;)

My old schedual.
6:30- Wake up.
7:20- Walk to station.
7:40- Catch train to school.
7:50- Go get breakfast.
Between 8:00 and 11:00- Start classes.
10:00- Go jogging.
10:20- More classes.
Between 12:00 and 1:30- Lunch.
More classes after lunch.
3:00- Go home.

Then on Fridays I had this schedual.
6:00- Wake up.
7:00- Walk to station.
7:20- Catch train to school.
7:30- Get breakfast then go back to school.
8:00- Start classes.
10:00- Eat lunch.
10:20- Go back to class.
4:00- End classes.

That schedual was actually against school policy since I didn't have any free periods, an 8:00 class, a lunch time class, and an after school class. Almost all the classes were doubles which means no break, and the one that wasn't was a tripple.

Of course I barely went to class so you can replace most of the "go to class" stuff with pulling childish pranks.
What's really stupid about that is if you miss more then 5 periods of a class you automatically fail that class on the grounds it's impossible to catch up.
So here I am practically* teaching my IT class when I couldn't possibly catch up to the rest of the class. I love the Australian educational system...

Now THATS a rant.

*I actually had to teach the class HTML, since the teacher only knew how to use FrontPage, and even then she wasn't very good at it. How the heck does someone get the job of IT teacher when they don't even know what a task bar is? Seriously.

9:07 - 3rd period economics. we have a crazy teacher. i just write more anti capitalism stuff (or i dont' go to class at all)
10:15 - 4th period video production. i just sit around and watch the funny people doing their funny things.
11:14 lucnh. (lynch?) it's a lousy 30 minutes wow. i just walk around with my grilfriend and friends and do whatever (usually nothing)
12:00 circa - 5th period computer whatever ( data processing) i just do activist stuff on the net and somehow manage to get an a
1:00 6th period english. well, on the few days that i actually go here instead of home or somewhere else, i try to convince my teacher that capitalism and america are very bad.

Being a small Catholic High school, we don't have any program classes except for HTML, so I can't use that as an exscuse.

Someone doesn't want to live long...
In response to Garthor
Right. Ok fine. I was just going to have a nice simple response, but I think I'll write a longer one. I was waiting for you to go on about how other countries don't have as nice as stuff as we have and blah de blah and how our government doesn't kill us like in Iraq or something and how there isn't war around us. Well my friend, if you are "smart" enough to figure out that other parts of the world are in more physical peril from day to day then our country, they you must also be "smart" enough to realize that it is BECAUSE OF OUR COUNTRY that other countries have such peril. Where do you even get off? Trying to tell me that I don't even know? You can be the biggest apathetic bastard in the entire world, then when someone says something that you don't like, suddenly you can judge them and tell them that they aren't appreciative, even though you are, well, what I said you were. How dare you trying to tell me that I don't even know! NO! It is YOU who apparently doesn't even know! Our country is evil on so many levels, and you are going to tell me that I DONT even know. What is there to know? You tool, you have been brought up, since you were young, not to think for yourself, but to think what they want you to think. And as such, like god know how many Americans, presumablaly all of them, you feel as if it is your divine right to live in the "greatest country in the whole world!" right? I tell you this; our country is worthy of no such title! Fool! How can you act so intelligent while at the same time be such a predictable robot? You all cough out the same automated responses- ALL OF YOU! You don't think for yourself, as school and people tell you that you do, you think what they WANT you to think! And your answer is what THEY want you to think! You thought that you were so slick and sure of yourself that you could tell ME! ME! ThatI didn't know what I was talking about!!!! And why would YOU of all people, christ in heaven, why would YOU know? Is it that you think our country treats it's citizens the best? Well you're wrong! If the top 10% of the population own 80% of the wealth, then my friend, that country S U C K S! If the government lies about 99% of everything that they do, and even the lies are lies, then that country S U C K S! If, because an ancient soicety of satan-worshipers that rule the world, try to kill jesus with "reason" and the death of morality and nationalism, where you can no longer morally opject to anything, only rationally (and not even that anymore), then your country has really put the big screw on everyone and the world!
You idiot, how dare you try to tell me something! America is not great, it's just a form of control the aristocracy have set up in order to keep their nice little working robots happy while they line their pockets with gold. It is a country that saw that communism would win in the end, so they labeled fascist countries (china, ussr, vietnam, korea) communist, so that we would fear and hate communists, even though the ussr and all of those other countries were not communist at all: they were fascist! no different from hitler's germany circa 1941! Thatis an evil country! The fact that we allowed ourselves to be deceived and without our morals, we didnt protest our country going into another country and killing them ther, lying aobut everything to us, for god knows what! We don't even use capitalism i hope you know! Since big corporations have taken over the country, or prehaps they country has taken over them, the free market is completly gone, and thus we are all just slaves to their marketing and budget numbers. YOU WANT A JOB??? Why? You foolish robots!! A job is just you giving someone your life that you can never have again for paper with green ink on it. And for what? So you can give the green inky paper BACK to the corporations and buy shoddy stuff that wasn't even made in your OWN country, and have to buy it again in 5 years. We dont' even have freedom of speech either! Since big businesses and government owns the newspapers and tv, and since not everyone can broadcast their feelings on a national/mass media level, then it is simply control and brainwashing, not freedom of anything! I mean christ almighty! They don't even let us have our guns! And do you know why? It's so in case we revolt, the military will be better equiped then us! God almighty, what were you EVEN saying to me? I don't even know...GIVE ME A BREAK! Why don't you wake up and realize when you're being used! WAKE UP TO THE TRUTH! The next time you think that you are so smug and sure of yourself, why do you look at life and cast your apathy and ignorance away!God help you!

I'm not American, and I realise America isn't as good as a lot of American's think, but they are hardly the cause of all the worlds problems.
I mean no offence, but that statement is just outright stupid.

Where do you even get off? Trying to tell me that I don't even know?

He was quoting you.

You go on to spout a bunch of "Your a mindless robot" stuff, but that's just stupid aswell. The human machine NEEDS to be programmed. If it's not it doesn't do anything. It's not free.

According to you, all these contries America has ruined suck.

You idiot, how dare you try to tell me something!

You've been doing this to us ever since you came here.

America is not great, it's just a form of control the aristocracy have set up in order to keep their nice little working robots happy while they line their pockets with gold.

If that's the price of happiness I'm fine with it. If you get rich from me being happy, then we are both happy.

You mention that we can't have guns in case we revolt. That's true, there would be a revolution, but it wouldn't be by "us" for the good of humanity, it would be by druglords, gangsters, and general criminals.

The rest just becomes too random to rebut. If you want to convince someone your right, argue, don't just yell what ever is on your mind.

Hmmm, my life is good, how about yours?

Apparently, it isn't... Your life must be horrible, being stuck in this "evil" country... You must be in terrible agony everyday of your life just knowing that the freedom you wish for will never come to you...

You're trapped in the machine, and you'll never get out until the day you die... And that must really, really suck for you...

You have my deepest sympathies...

However, my life is good... I have everything that I need, and almost everything that I want (within reason)... In fact, I have more than I need, and I have the means to get virtually anything that I want...

But alas, I am but a cog in the evil machine that our country is forcing upon us... Poor me...

It's just lucky that the machine is working well for me... Otherwise, I'd be as miserable as you are... But instead, I get to be happy... I get to enjoy life...

You want to know what seperates us? One of us is locked in a cage... You of course will immediately point to me... But I, on the other hand, am refering to you... You are the one locked in the cage, and the sad thing is, that cage is one you made for yourself... You're trapped by your own mind... You're only as painfully miserable as you are because you have made yourself that way...

You too could be happy, yet for some ungodly reason, you desire to hold onto your silly viewpoint... What does it get you? Nothing...

Again, you have my sympathies...
School is great, you learn things if you have an open mind, though that is a pretty rare things lately.

No see you're wrong. Yeah I could just ignore everything and go about my life. Do you know why? Because the machine provides us with our basic needs: food, shleter, sex? and a sense of safety. It is because of that that people will hava apathy for other people and won't do anything about their government messing up the world; because they are too comfortable. Also, I hope you know that over 45 MILLION Americans live in poverty and homelessness, so where do you get off trying to say that your life is the same as EVERY American's life? I'll make this simpler for you, though I'm sure I'll lose my credibility; I'm assumimg you saw the matrix, if you didn't oh well. Cypher is a guy who was unplugged, but he didn't care about truth and freedom; he wanted to feel safe, even if he wasn't. That is kind of what you sound like. Do you understand? It is I who feel sorry for you. I notice nobody commented on my saying that working for companies justs makes them richer anyway, while all you are doing is tradeing your life that you will never to have again for paper with green ink. That DOESNT sound like a good life.

Learning isn't always fun. There is a lot of boring material they teach you in grade school that you'll never use or even bother remembering past it. In grade school you also cover material incredibly slowly to try and compensate for the slowest people which is also incredibly boring. I was doing algebra by the time I was in the fourth grade, but it's not even covered in the standard ciriculum until the 8th grade and even then they cover it at a slugs pace. Luckily the local community college finally decided I was mature enough to enroll there by the time I was 13. High school is largely a waste of time except for those that have poor learning capabilities. I think school up to and including high school is mainly there to keep you busy until you're old enough to be responsible for the crimes you could protentially commit :P.

College is much better but I'd still rather be just playing video games :P.
