Grammar refers to the system of rules by which words are formed and put together to make sentences (so says Encarta!), which means your spelling has nothing to do with your grammar. :o)

Besides:
"> Not goona happen" - you cannot convince me that this is a Canadian way of saying 'gonna' - which is questionable grammer usage of 'going to' anyway... =p |

North America, to be exact. America really isn't a place, it's the Americas. (INSTA REPLY!) America and The Americas are the same place. The latter simply adds in the implied "hey, I'm also including South and Central America, ya know!" |
I disagree -- America refers to the USA, not to North America. Otherwise, Canadians would be referred to as Americans as well, and that just doesn't happen.
AMERICA != NORTH_AMERICA NORTH_AMERICA == NORTH_AMERICA AMERICAS == NORTH_AMERICA & SOUTH_AMERICA Just because you call yourselves the United States of America doesn't mean that the landmass you're on suddenly becomes named "America" -- it means that the land you own becomes American soil. I'm pretty sure we had a similar debate to this one before. |
And this has what to do with grammar?
