The good news is: Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom is coming back. Mutual of Omaha is people you can count on when the going's rough. The other good news is it will be hosted by talented actor Alec Baldwin. The bad news is, it will be hosted by utter prat Alec Baldwin.

Unfortunately, John Woo's ninja turtle remake has hit some turbulence. I don't remember the details, but I'll see if I can dig up some links.

I'll take a shot and say it's because three of the turtles have twin weapons but they don't shoot. ;)

That, and the turtle costumes don't take well to having ropes attached to them. ;-)

(Not seriously -- but there are a couple Woo movies out there that have the ropes visible. =P)

The last I've heard is that there may be a TV show in Spring of 2003. The cartoon's not coming back. Someone might pick it up for reruns if any of the new shows become successful, but no one's going to start the cartoon back up, and that's a good thing. The cartoon was entertaining, but it wasn't Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was Pre-Adolescent Appropriately Fluffy Superhero Turtles. They kiddied everything up, by doing things like reducing Raphael's boundless rage to an uncontrollable smart mouth and turning Casey Jones into a joke.

If i wasnt at school (they block every site that uses flash or shockwave so we cant play games) i would post the link to the fox kids site that says they are making a new ninja turtles cartoon set to come out this winter...

Ah, maybe that's why John Woo's CG turtles got axed. If so, and if the new cartoon is like the old one, I'm going to be very, very disappointed.

I'll be greatly disappointed, too...

I don't want another rehash of the first cartoon... I want the mature version of TMNT as seen in the original Mirage Studios printing of the comic...

I think they'll end up going that way anyways, though... I saw a picture of the new TMNT look, and the turtle had brown knee and elbow pads with just the colored bandana... So at least they LOOK closer to the original design... Perhaps that will translate into being closer to the original overall...

well of course its not gonna be the same "cowabunga" cartoon because they know kids have changed and think that kind of stuff is "lame"

Gangster language is over :(, looks like I wont be seeing anymore grungy caucasian(sp?) skateboarders trying to act "tight" while I cruise by on my bicycle.

No, I call it "gangster" language, and the majority of people who use it are caucasian male teenagers in my point of view.

bad point of veiw..."wiggers" are the people who use it wrong and too much like after every sentence...now the black people i know use it right and not ALL THE TIME they even make fun of some of the people who use it ALL THE TIME but people who pose like they are cool for using it are the losers and dont deserve to listen to rap since everything they see on mtv they adopt the phrases in songs now if you make fun of people who happen to like the style and DONT use it every other word is just wrong...its a very mild version of saying "i hate you cause your black"
