I was just wondering... Is anyone else here a fan of Avril Lavigne's "Complicated"?

I just can't get enough of that song...lol For the past few nights, I've been refusing to go to bed until either MTV or VH1 play the video...

And tonight, I broke down and installed a file sharer (LimeWire, to be exact) to get it... (as I've said a couple of times, a while back I reinstalled Windows, and lost all of my old programs... I never really had any good reason to get a replacement file sharing program... until I wanted to get this song...lol)

I dunno what it is about it... I just think it's a damn good song...
what makes a good song for goku

I heard it while searching through radio channels the other day. At the time I was morally certain it was Alanis Morrissette, but I guess I was wrong. Seemed like a fairly catchy song with typical pop lyrics.

And now it turns out there's only one R in Morisette! In the words of Jacobim Mugatu, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

You mean you aren't taking Jagged Little Pills?

The one thing I find utterly humiliating is that she's Canadian. Gah.

Also, where was she when they taught that if you're going to sing, you don't end "-ah!" to the end of almost every word? =P

"I'm-ah! going to kill-ah! the killer-ah!"

I prefer "word-ah" to "unh-word," which is what half the pop vocalists do these days. Makes them sound a little constipated.

That reminds me of what really drives me batty: morons with woofers in their cars cranked to full and treble cranked to nothing. In my brother's words, "WAOOOOOM! WAOOOOM-WAOOOOM! They sound like constipated grandpas."

Prime STH - I'm Stupid

Oh wait, that was mean.

Actually, that is a really good song.

Yeah, sometimes they play it on the radio station I listen to, but the song title was really what I was shooting for.

Yep, just another pop band trying to be rock. My sister tried to get me to like her by telling me she was a punk. Then I saw the music video, and she looked punk but the music was pretty pop.

I'm with you. I sometimes like my music loud, but I don't purposefully drive around town making everyone else listen to it as well.

It's hard to tell how much treble they have turned up because higher frequencies don't travel as well as lower frequencies, and are much more easily trapped by the walls of their cars, and absorbed by the fabric of the seats and interior. I'm sure it's at least a little more trebly inside the car, but who wants to go find out? I'd prefer to keep my hearing as long as possible, thank you.

That's actually a sound engineer's attempt to fix a basic flaw in her singing that no amount of voice training can correct. Here's what she sounds like, unedited:

"I'm-eh? going to kill-eh? the killer-eh?"

Personally i like a lot of bass. My brothers car(before he drove to school without a liscense and my dad made him sell it) had two 150 watt audioban(sp?) 10's, a 500-1000 watt kenwood db 12, and a 500 watt audioban(sp?) 12, powered by a 1000 watt lansar amp. All this in a Buick Skylark'a trunk, it beat like hell.

Yes, and if you think bad thoughts about someone, you're no better than a mass murderer.
