hey lummox it says if the word offends you dont scroll down how the hell did you take that the wrong way
|
Your post said "If the word gay offends you, don't scroll down." The word gay doesn't offend me, why would it? I'm gay and proud. Your warning said nothing about the stupid stereotypes in the quiz, which is what did offend me... and not even just because it's a quiz about gayness. Mostly, it bugs the hell out of me that they're all gender stereotypes... it assumes it's natural for a man to do things like swing at a punching bag and know how to change oil, and not for a woman. Then, it assumes that men who act like women are supposed to and vice versa are more "gay", when the two concepts are unrelated. The lesbians I know are more likely to talk to their cats and read poetry than have a street fight.

This forum is a public place, anything offensive is against the rules. By posting that you offended someone, which is breaking the rules.

He didn't say he was offended by the word. He said you're trying to pick a fight. It's funny how you accuse other people of not paying attention to what you say.
|
haha, that is funny, i am 26 percent gay...i dont see why people are taking this the wrong way...its just a quiz, like any other quiz, but what do you expect from this forum?
|
And nothing, I'm merely backing up my points which you tried so poorly to refute. If you have no better reply than "Ok and...?" then you obviously know you're wrong. I'll expect a public apology for both your behavior and existence to be posted here, no later than midnight CST tonight.

Hey, look at my first response... [link]
I was prepared to laugh it off. VyseDyne took my response seriously, so I went back and took his post seriously. |

hey lummox it says if the word offends you dont scroll down how the hell did you take that the wrong way Two problems: First, I didn't say the word necessarily offends me--but depending on how you use it, there are inflammatory ways of doing so, and you appear to have intentionally skirted that line. (My guess: You knew, perhaps from experience, that crossing the line outright would get you nailed.) Second, saying "If you're going to have a problem with this, don't read it" doesn't excuse you from responsibility for the contents of your post. Such is effectively saying "I choose to provoke people, but anyone who gets annoyed will just have to stew about it and not respond because I warned them first." It's a legalistic attitude that you can just slap a broad disclaimer on anything and protect yourself from all consequences, but it doesn't hold water and I think you ought to know better by now. As Lexy said, and you so pointedly ignored, the fact that you knew it could be offensive and chose to highlight that potential indicates you planned to pick a fight. As I've said, and you've also ignored, even if you didn't intend to pick a fight you should have known from recent encounters that you should tread more carefully, yet you didn't do that. One way you're maliciously obnoxious; the other way, you're recklessly obnoxious. If you have any interest in staying around these forums, then I suggest you take a closer look at your behavior and try to respect the others who use this place. That's not a threat--it's advice, which I urge you to take. Lummox JR |
so basically you and your obvious friend lummox try to pick a fights with anything you see as offensive. you scrolled down to a gay quiz what do you expect. it wasnt for you since you obviously show your gay and proud and took the quiz when you already know your gay.

I didn't say I was offended by it in my first post: [link] I criticized the test, but I didn't say it was offensive and I didn't say anything against VyseDyne for posting it.
