I am getting kinda tired.
Sorry....
What do I need to do so others stop giving me flak (NOT FOR BEING NEW) in general?

Well, stop arguing. If someone says don't bump your posts, don't argue it, just keep it in mind next time.
ya with people doing crap like this:
http://www.byond.com/forum/ forum.cgi?action=message_read&forum=babble&message=18533&vie w=0 |
You were not if you had not downloaded the library the question did not pertain to you. You just posted to be a punk.
Also recommended: Ignore such posts. If they're wrong, half the time someone will correct them anyway.
I dont know it just feels like lummox comes into ALL my posts to make me feel stupid. Go looking through my past posts he has come into all of them to tell me something I did wrong. *shrugs* oh well. I guess I will just ignore them.
One problem is that you as well as them are looking for excuses to give each other a hard time... like Lummox's post on the previous thread. He didn't mention newbies once, but you jumped on him for newbie bashing.
(Note that of course people are talking about the parts where you think he's being demeaning; he is right about the forum rules).
Yes, I know you misinterpreted... my point, though, is to think about why you misinterpreted. You've already made up your mind as to what kind of person LummoxJr is, and you view all of his posts in whatever interpretation will best help support that view. The thing is, this is the same thing he's done to you.
Foomer's got the best solution below... just keep in mind two things. One, Lummox does know the rules around here, so if he tells you something is so, you should listen. Two, knowing and sharing the rules doesn't mean he's in charge (or that he's trying to be), just that he's trying to keep the forum running smoothly in his own way. Remember that at the end of the day, we're all posters just like anyone else, and we're all guests in Dantom's cozy little house... and that obeying the guidelines and standards for behavior is a good way to make sure we're all still guests at the start of the next day. |
