Hey, just a quick base test for my new game i'm slowly producing, will be doing the legs soon, but what do you think atm, I tried to AA some of it to give it different feel, and trying to give it a perspective look(ish). Sorry for the tree, I was bored :3.

Quick edit: I finished the legs now.

Are your legs shorter than your arms?

I´m just curious. I´m guessing you shaded it in using photoshop? You can still get the same look by using alot less colors.

I know you can hehe, I like trying different styles, plus i'll probably take away the AA to reduce the ammount of colours, AA fail :D.

Limit yourself to 4, 5 at most colours and AA on a small base isn's a must, its okay in small doses. Go to the resources section and read some tutorials.

First, above all, I would prefer you NOT to use this edit, but to look at it. Figure out how the colors work.

Now, to explain some.
- First, I used the same colors as you did in your art, except I cut some down. Use your colors to shape your object, not scribble. Use the brighter ones to define highlights, and darker ones to show creases, and shadows.

-Second, I fixed some proportion issues, and perspective as well. Your arms happen to have been too short for the body, and your eyes were too far down on the head.

-Third, I'm happy you applied AA, but on conventional things like bases that tend to move, it becomes a headache for the programmer. Not one color will work with every single surrounding. For things such as bases, I think little to no AA would do better.

- Fourth, If you don't agree with any changes I made, don't keep them. Its your art, not mine. :). Make the base your own, don't just take the edit and copy it. ;D

;p. I know how to use limited colours on a base mob, and on how colours work. I do Art and design course in college ;o, but like I said, I was experimenting with it, something different. Heres an updated version before, just saw your comment as I finished watching Avatar 3d with the Gf lol, thanks for the tips though. Haven't done Pixel art for all that long, 2 months if that really, but because I do art and design at college it comes pretty easy to figure out how to do it :3.

Plus on your fourth comment, I wouldn't take other peoples edits and use them as my own, would make me feel cheap and dirty lol. Originality ftw.

Over all though, I think it's not too bad, the edited version :P.

Heres my Edited version before I went out D:. ( had to apply a white background since it looked blury on the grey background xD.)

I re-done the base, used less or somewhat the same colours, I think it looks better.

Here he the re-done base mob, please C&C.

guess what this dude is from :D.

If you guessed right then yes :3. I have everything jotted down on word, from Movesets, storyline, exp, quests and so forth, more then 5 pages long I believe atm, will probably hit between 9-15 pages of info on whats going to go into the game, or hopefully be able to achieve through advanced programming available to byond.

I am going to get all the icons out of the way first before I really start to attempt to find a programmer, since my knowledge is only set to basic mode atm :). Though coming up with the moveset names where abit of a pain and watching alot of episodes to see what to add from the *(brotherhood)* series.

I am going to go ahead with this, no matter how long it may take to complete, already got about 2-4% of the icons completed, mainly turfs and various things. Leaving the animation stuff till last.

Been working on this for about 2 weeks, mainly the concept ideas, but I have gotten alot of the icons down for turfs, about 2% are various building designs.
got any queries you can contact me on.
