I don't see any problems off the bat, but if you want a more natural walk state, you might want to make the arms move back and forth. But it looks like you are off to a nice start.

What your doing right now is called pillow shading, most people do it when they are first starting out. Pillow shading is when you take a darker color and pretty much just go lighter as you get further inside. What you need to do is learn to use a light source, but don't worry, there are a few cool tutorials on the front page that can really help out some. I like this one to cover pillow shading.
http://www.natomic.com/hosted/marks/mpat/shading.html But, I also made a edit of your base right now. Check it out, I changed a few lines, and made a step by step thing about how I shaded it. Don't be mad if your first attempt doesn't look a lot like it, and things like that. I think I went a bit overboard myself. Hehe. Good luck! |

Haha, you actually didn't add a light source there either! If you look there is light coming off the legs on both sides(Meaning there is two suns comming from the NW and NE). I think light sources look alot better from just one diagnol angle(Like NW or NE) But you were probably thinking of using a light source from straight above, though this almost can look like pillow shading.

That was more being lazy and mirroring it. :D |

okay ive spoted one problem with your base's south movement state,
if you are walking you notice that your arms move in the opposite direction of your legs I.E; your left arm moves back while your left left leg moves forward. if you try walking the way your base is walking it would feel rather akward or like a robot.but its a common problem that ive seen in alot of bases. -Zane |
