That should help a lot. Helped me, anyways. They even dissect Metal Slug explosions a little bit. Which is great 'cuz Metal Slug explosions are... beautiful. | |
Nice find you both! That will really help. I hated making explosions, and wasn't that good at it, but i'll start practicing with that fluid motion and such. You'll see my WIP here in no time ^^

Adding one thing, seeing some common actions from pixel artists on pixel joint. Remember fire turns into the smoke it doesn't dissipate back into it.
