I hate people who bump.
Simply put, if there are no replies, then that's all there is to it. |

Okay really, its not all that great, it again looks like you hand drew this with a photoshop brush. Try making the lineart first, then adding a light source. You also have a real problem with perspective here, like some things are shaded that shouldnt be, and the building looks very weird with those bold lines. You may want to look into selective outlining for this project, with selective outlining and if you cut down on how big those outlines are and soften the color. Then it will look more realistic, so for those corners instead of a black bulgy line like this:
I showed your example of an outline, compared to a softer outline, then made a small example of how the outline shades it too, instead of just showing where the outlines are. You can find some selective outlining tutorials here: http://derekyu.com/extras/pixel09.html http://www.natomic.com/hosted/marks/mpat/softening.html |
Zip Another .jpg! If you're posting pixel art PLEASE post it as a high quality .png or .gif filetype.
When you make your line art I'd use thiner lines, and then remove those lines after you have the colors in. It looks like you tried to give it some shading, which is a good start, but there's some improvements to be made. (such as the shading on the very very top roof. There's nothing covering up that part from the sun, so their shouldn't be any shades there. I can't seem to tell what the things are on the bottom of the building (doors?), and yeaaaah. Also I'd stay from using the spray paint tool for shading like you did on the windows. It looks icky and isn't really "pixel art." |
