I like the shadows (kinda). But the whole things just getting too busy.

The like the one with the shadows. It adds the image (rather than take away), makes it look like the spider isn't floating, and gives the image better balance.

I like the one with the shadow better, the other one looks like it's hanging or jumping kinda.

Go with the shadows. I started to add some to my entry, but I really need to go to bed :P

Still not happy with some of the AA, either.
