Icon Artist Needed! We have sprites, they need broken down. It is easy, just takes time.
Builders Needed! The world is built in-game with simple commands. High quality designs are preferred over fast output. Updates: Poke Center is implemented, including upgradable Pokemon Healing Machine and PC. Shop is designed and 90% Implemented. It can be upgraded to include more items. Wild Pokemon Encounters with Pokemon Catching system, Random Breeding Stats, and Basic AI. Pokemon AI will be improved later. PVP Zones, each one boosting a move type (Fire, Water, Etc). Personal Towns: Players can build their own towns in the PVP Zones. Towns can be upgraded. Daily Quests have been added and players can swap out a quest once per day. Upcoming Beta Testing: Almost all game mechanics have been implemented. Then I will feel comfortable with releasing the game as a Beta Test. After the mechanics are done then it will just be a matter of adding icons and code for the many, many Pokemon! Before I release the Beta Test I will at least need to finish these updates: Pokemon can be placed on sentry duty to defend your town. Friends List which will allow players to visit each other's town. Trading Systems |
I was walking around testing things to launch the Beta release. I kept having to use the mouse for the fancy UI, which was breaking the immersion for me. So I reworked the User Input to seamlessly switch between Keyboard and Keyboard+Mouse. This has delayed the Beta, but I think it is worth the wait. Soon though...

I thought it was going to be simple to add keyboard support.
Make a generalized UI to handle all Input and Output. It turned to be not soo simple.. But keyboard support is almost done! I also want to implement a pokemon of each type to go with the Daily Challenges of catching a certain pokemon type. The guy that I take care of has taken a major step in the progression of his disease. Therefore my workload has been increased significantly. But I do try to knock out some part of code whenever I get a chance. Still I will try to release a Beta soon! |
These things have been designed and coded:
-Basic UI, switching pokemon, and on-screen item storage (It will all be improved later)
-Gen 1 Starters. Squirtle has a Water Gun Attack but it is only visual for now. Combat is not designed yet.
