This demo was based off the tutorials found on http://learningwebgl.com (up to Lesson 4), with various tweakings to work with the latest version of glMatrix.
While this demo doesn't render textures yet, it is based on Lesson 4 to see feasibility in 3D rendering.
How to test it:
Run Dream Daemon with Webclient enabled. Join at localhost:port or 127.0.0.1:port instead of the main IP address on any supported web browser. You should see a 3D rendered pyramid and cube.
Warning: Webclient supported version of BYOND is required. Last tested on 508.1292.

Update 1: WebGL Demo has been updated to use the minified version of the glMatrix JavaScript file.
Update 2: Source for the current WebGL Demo is now available in a separate link on this page.

Yeah, there has been a problem getting Dropbox links to work through the BYOND client. Even stripping the 's' from 'http' doesn't do anything.
I am still looking for a solution in that regard. Zip download works though. That problem might've started popping up when Dropbox made some changes a few years ago. |
Found a solution, though it took some work to get the link. File is now hosted on Ozibox.

Unzipped the resources and hosted through DreamDaemon, connected as the instructions said and indeed, I see a 3D pyramid and cube. Very nice stuff.
don't know if I'm the only one, but hitting Download on the website never seems to work appropriately with the pager. Not that I mind downloading files manually. |
