Use the arrow keys to accelerate, decelerate, and change lanes.

  • Added background scenery (forest, clouds)
  • Re-tinted the road a bit and lowered the max speed, to make it less epilepsy.
  • Added dynamic "music"/engine sound.
  • Fixed bugs with driving in reverse.
  • Added a limit to how far off-road you can go.

  • Blank gradiant colored backdrop added.
  • Basic "scanline" road implemented.
  • Race minimap and one track added.
  • The first road "turn" has been added.


TODO:
  • Proper car physics/momentum tracking. Including gear shifting.
  • Start/finish line and lap counting.
  • Networking for multiplayer. (This will not be good with default BYOND networking. God help us all.)
  • Driving animations, rumbling, turning, exploding, etc.
  • Scenery along the sides of the track.
  • AI cars or whatever.
Everthing about this is awesome.
This is really cool. Nice game by the way even though its only a demo. I hope to see it continued :)
I think it is awesome that somebody did this on byond. Just got done trying it and I wanted to let you know you have to change the steering for reverse. While in reverse, turning right should have you move to the right side of the screen just like moving forward.
I have a question. How did you do this exactly the 3D aspect on the engine and how would one go about creating a rpg either turn based or action rpg utilizing this style of 3d on the byond engine?
