So due to the update to Windows 10 security, a lot of people have been unable to play any BYOND games, with it giving a message like "Dream Seeker has stopped working" or "Dream Seeker was unable to connect". There's already a post giving one way to fix it. It involves uninstalling the Windows security update. As it turns out however, there is a much easier fix, that doesn't involve uninstalling the update. I used it after my Dream Seeker crashed repeatedly, so I know it works.
Steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer (I know, ew, but we keep it around for things like this)
2. Find the settings gear in the top right
3. Click on it. There should be an option in there labelled "ActiveX Filtering"
4. Click the ActiveX Filtering option
5. Congratulations, you can use BYOND to play games again.
