Graphics Gale
Wacom Bamboo Create and touch tablet

First Update:starting off with animating

Update#2

UPDATE#3 Getting there
Nice as always. Im not sure if the animation is right. I think the tails should move in opposite way to head, just the tail, like here: http://www.biology-resources.com/images/ fish-swimming-big.jpg , but as i said, im not sure :)
Thanks a lot! ill fix that right away seemed a little off to me

edit:
updated main post.
Yeah i think its better now
On pixeljoint there used to be(prob. still is, just couldnt find it) a picture with a shark (same perspective) dragging a boat on a fishline. It would be a perfect reference if you know which one I mean. I'll try to search for it some more.

It obviously has exaggerated proportions, so I hope you're not just wasting your time.
http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/68586.htm this one yeah I was looking at it awhile ago but its too exaggerated for me to get an accurate idea of the motion. but you're right in that the tail moves in the opposite motion of the head.

Looking good Zane.
So you drew the shark using the pad and just added the colors using gale?
the tablet is used like a mouse.
The animation still isn't quite right. There needs to be more of a fluid wave that travels from the head to the tail in how the shark swims.

Egor linked an excellent resource, and while the shark should look a little more stiff than the resource depicts, your shark is too stiff.
A smaller sine wave through the shark would make it better. Like a snake.
It looks more like a snake's movement more than a shark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5swCMxYsMDE This video should help. What I picked up was that sharks don't always move their heads when they are swimming.
I love your art Zane, Really.

That shark need aggressivity in his movements. That all
If anything his movement needs to be less linear, the arcs of movement for both directions are virtually the same, if not the same.
